Default V1 question: Concealed & Headphone in tandem

Would like to use both the concealed display and headphone adapter
simultaneously. Is this possible using a RJ-11 splitter on the AUX port?

The purpose of this is to mix the audio of a V1 with the output of a GPS, and a CB into a FM modulator that I can tune into on my vehicle's radio.

Amazon.com: Behringer Ultra Low-Noise 4-Channel Line Mixer MX400: Musical Instruments

If this won't work please let me know.

I wouldn't do it, you may fry the V1.

Problem is, that all the "data communication" runs through that cord, and you don't want your mixer sending feedback into it causing problems from false alerts, to no alerts to cooking things.

A somewhat safer, although not thoroughly tested is a audio y-splitter from the remote audio adapter.

Now do this all at your own risk. in case you cook it.

The only thing i have tried is using the splitter on the remote audio to listen to a C100 and V1 at the same time. they both worked and i could get simultaneous audio, but i didn't do any long term testing on it, and don't have it hooked up that way at the moment.

Ideally you want something where you can plug the remote audio into it, then plug in your GPS or other devices, and have it not only prioritize things, but not allow feedback into the other devices.

besides, the V1 adapters can work together without using splitters, as i'm using a v1, remote display, and remote adapter without any need for extra splitters. the remote audio has two size headphone jacks on it as well.

thanks for pointing that out. Excellent technical advice. I'm just using a cheaper mono mixer. It would be to have something that prioritized inputs.

They do make something similar that is corded and does that, where you can plug in GPS, a detector, etc and it will prioritize alerts to some headphones.

It's for a motorcycle, but i can't remember the name of it off hand.

I've been in the market for something similar for my bike, but i want a wireless BT setup, and so far the only thing close to that is about a grand for a full intercom setup, which i don't want to spend, i'd rather still be plugged in.

I have a GPS, with phone capability, my jammers, my V1 and my C100.

I have a BT for the GPs/phone, and corded for the C100, which also plays my audio for the radar, but i'd like an all in one wireless option.

anyway, look for motorcycle stuff, and you'll probably find that little wired unit i'm talking about which should do exactly what you want for a decent price.

I believe you're referring to Autocom.

I tried the mixer/single-speaker thing awhile back. The combined noise floor of the GPS, CB, and V1 was simply intolerable. It was quieter, easier, and cheaper to just give everything its own dedicated speaker. Those little amplified speakers Escort makes work great; I can hear my GPS clearly with the top down at high speed, no problem. Same goes for the V1, turned up to about 1 o'clock. Radarbusters.com sells them.

Be sure to connect the headphone output of the V1 to the mixer. You can damage the remote audio adapter's speaker outputs if you plug in anything other than a speaker to them. That's from personal experience, and confirmed by a tech at VR.

I would like to add a C100 and jammers to the V1 on my bike. I currently have the V1 routed to helmet speakers via an mp3 amplifier. That way I can still wear ear plugs and hear the V1. I don't mind the cord. How do you have yours set up with all three?
