Yea it is ghosting and when i get close to K band sped signs it shows a bogey of Ka....sending it in tomorrow...but i had a 2.7 mile 33.8 Ka c/o encounter the other day? of course when i get near the cop he suddenly has 3 sources of Ka

Ka ghosts on strong K and Ka signals is common on the 3.813 V1s. It's not indicative of a problem.Originally Posted by hockey005

Now if it missed the K bogey entirely, then you have a problem.

My 3.858 ghosts about the same as my 3.813, but it tends to ghost on the same band. 1 K bogey gives me 2-3 K bogeys depending on strength, same for Ka (though less prone).
The 3.813 would often give a false Ka bogey on a strong K.
