Default I want to know the radar frequency when I get hit

Is there an easy way? What are my options?

Also, I apologize if this is a frequently discussed topic.

The V1 is incapable of this. You could run the V1 along with a Belscort remote(expensive option) or run one of the higher end Belscort dashmounts that are capable of frequency readout. Do not run a Belscort dashmount unit at the same time as your V1, or you will take a chance of suppressing alerts, due to unseen interference between the two units.

There are also a few Whistler models that are capable of a general frequency readout, such as 33.8, 34.7 and 35.5, but they don't give the more accurate readout of the Belscorts, which read something like 34.714.

That would be an amazing feature if it would have been on the V1. But then adding the feature would mean adding an LCD screen (instead of the boogey counter, ramp up meter, band meters) to make it easier to read. I do not think Valentine would change their current setup.

Djrams80, Is this a case of do as i say , not as I do?..... I've seen your sweeeeeet setup on youtube, and i beleive i saw two window mount units along with a remote unit.

I was thinking about pairing my V1 with a escort 8500 so that i have frequency display. Im sure there may be unseen interference between the two units , but i am going to try and run them as far apart as possible , yet in quick reference view

I can't do this even if I made my own custom LCD display?

I dont think its worth running two dash detectors once you know the frequency you don't really need another detector the only thing i would like to have the V1 do is have a separate alert for pop since Ive seen them use it in my area, more than likely your V1 would alert before the 8500 and you would know by the time it alerted whether its a false or a real cop.

If you want the frequency, you're going to have to buy the 9500 Escort Detector or a Bel. Frequencies are pretty important when it comes to Ka band.

I agree, although along my driving route i'm likely to encounter all types of radar(ka,k,...and yes, even x ), so IMO it will help , as a double measure, to verify the source if available.

Do you know if there is a post that has all police radar units made and their frequency numbers? This would make a grreat reference card to print out and have near when in my car, well at least for me , since i'm not as familiar with radar frequencies.

He doesn't run that way. That was an experiment. That's how he knows not to do it. Get yourself pwn3d if you want to, but you're never going to see it coming.

There's not enough to bother writing down. 33.xx is MPH and Decatur. 34.xx is Stalker. 35.xx is Kustom.
