KA False???

I was driving the 101 freeway in SoCAL today and I got 3 KA band and there is no LEO in sight! And I was not near any shopping area or anything.

Condition is hot and sunny and temp is around 80-90.

Could someone explain what's happening, my V1 has the 3.872 and I get the KA band for about 2.5 miles.

Are these falses or the V1 is picking up the KA elsewhere not on the freeway?

If you are sure there are no LEOs around it is possible that another RD was causing yours to false on Ka band.

You're probably right.

The signal become stronger when I came closer to this car a VW Jetta and when I passed it the arrows went sideways and back.

The first thing it went on my mind is another RD but no, he did not have a tint and I could see the front of his windshield very clearly and no RD attached. Probably another car.

A lot of people are smart enough to know better than to stick their RD to their windshield, so he still may have had one.

Although, most Cobra owners are probably not that smart.

When this happens I usually slow down very quickly. Watch the arrow point towards the Cobra and say every four letter word I know at the driver, then get out my Bushnell and have some revenge.

I just reread you post. It sounds like you are getting this signal every day?

Yes, everytime I take the freeway.

Are you sure it's Ka band? Because that area has lots of K band traffic drones.
