    Default V1 good deal?

I've come across a pretty good deal on V1 version 1.8 without the pop upgrade. I can get it for $300. It's from a trusted source, and appears to be in very good condition. Box, and everything included.

Does this sound like a good deal?

I currently have a Passport x50, and am a little dissapointed in the Ka sensitivity. I would have to sell my x50 to get this one. Good deal or not?
I can't seem to find one on Ebay for this price.

    Thanks for the advice!

Sounds like a fair deal if you can't afford a new unit.

check the v1 website with the serial number and see how much to upgrade to pop

if pop is not an issue then go ahead, you can even sell it on ebay for almost the price of a brand new one

I would have to agree, if you can buy in for 300 do it.

You can easily turn that around and sell that on ebay for nearly 400 if you get tired of it.

I ran the serial and it said v1.8, but it does not have the POP upgrade. $75 to get the upgrade.

Would the range be that much better than the x50? I can sell my x50 for $230, so it would cost me around $70 to try it.
