    Default Wish me luck!

After 7 months of not seeing any X-band use where I live in Michigan, I'm switching it off. My fingers are crossed.

I haven't ever seen it in Michigan, in the six years I've been here.
I still have my X-band on though...

    Default xband

Few years ago, Kalkaska County (Northern Michigan) and Berrien County (SW Lower Michigan) each had a car using x-band. Grayling City in Crawford County (Northern Michigan) also has a car, as reported by someone else in this forum) with x-band.

    Default X-Band

So far, the silence has been almost eerie. I think I'll re-enable X whenever I road trip, of course ... it's nice not to hear all the quickie marts here around GR, though. I also upped the response to Ka.

Hey, I went by a trooper the other day just north of town, and he was standing by his car shooting traffic with a device that looked like something you'd see at the eye doctor - it had a bunch of little (about 1" diameter) lenses on it. It was black and about the size of an old-school video camera (VHS) ... only taller and thicker side to side. He appeared to be aiming right at me in a construction zone, but I got no alerts at all. Any ideas on what that might have been?

    A Lidar (laser) gun.

Where do you have your V1 mounted? It's usually pretty good at detecting laser, but it's not 100% if the officer has good aim or is selective about what cars he shoots.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

    Default Laser

It's mounted high. He might not have aimed at me, or he could just be a good shot
Here's another (unrelated) question for y'all ... I had my CB antenna listed in my signature ... now, it's been replaced by "banned word."
Any idea why the brand of my CB antenna would be banned?

    *EDIT*
