Default 3.813 vs. STi on K band speed sign

There is one of those annoying K band speed signs on a road next to my neighbor hood so i did some testing....both were pretty ever but...

3.813 surprising picked up the K band off axis...STi never did until i turned onto the road, happened 2x on both streets 90 degrees from the speed sign.

3.813 picked up the K first both facing forward and going towards the speed sign (the STi alerted 1 second after for both)

3.813 tuned last month....STi last tune was 33.8 fix april 2008

not surprised and a good reason why so many GOL members and GOL attendees own a V1

I get some crazy excellent off axis detection from my V1 a lot of the time. Perpendicular off axis with all kinds of warning on different occasions (terrain and in town and on the highway being different scenerios with in town detection usually giving me the best range I'm sure due to the radar waves bouncing off buildings and cars and such).

Once in a while, I get little or nothing which is both scary and annoying and I'm betting its 35.5.
K band off axis has been good to great all the time with my V1.

    But Jazzy forgot to mention

GOL Off-Axis Radar Detector Test - July 2007

Last Place 35.5 Ka band 15 degree detection test

Overall great for V1 but this is a pretty important data point.

This is probably one of the most critical frequencies and most critical off axis.

My main point is staying objective and little dissappointed the "V1 Report Card" missed this important data point.

It doesn't help raise VR's eyebrow either.

It's certainly clear as bell on GOL site though.

V1 is King when it comes to K and X band detection.

    Not doubting that one bit.

And I shut X off and set K muting to the max because Ka is what I worry the most about. And Ka 35.5 seems to be King around me.
