Once again, needing the help of the mighty experts...

1. Will the V1 get damaged by vibrations? I have it in my windshield, but I have double 12's 1200W audio system in my car, when I touch my windshield, I can feel it vibrating HARD... (And yes, I'm blasting my audio system 24/7)

2. Should I turn off my V1 every time I turn off my car? and turn it back up when I turn my car on?

I can answer question two. You should turn your V1 off every time you turn off your car. You wouldn't have to worry about that problem if you hardwired your V1 to your ignition

Just my opinion.

1. Something on the inside could come loose from the pounding.

2. I would turn it off every time.

I turn mine off every time for a couple of reasons (ok, I have it wired to the ignition switch actually).

1. No reason to leave it running 24 hours a day forever. I also think it is good to 'reboot' it sometimes too.

2. If you have an alarm and the detector goes off, it can set off the alarm (it would in my Lotus anyway).

I like having it automatically come on whenever I turn on the car/bike, that way I can't forget.

You should get a kill switch for it, very easy to do.

vibrations dont do anything to the v1. I had one installed in my expedition and was doing over 150 db. the whole truck came apart and the v1 still rocks solid

That audio system will destroy your EARS long before it harms your V1.

Then, after suffering hearing loss, you won't hear the V1 alert to Ka ahead...

And then you'll get a speeding ticket...

Which you don't want, which is why you got the V1 in the first place...

Turn down the stereo, and you'll be fine. The V1 will be fine regardless.

As for turning it off, use the hardwire cord and wire it into a circuit that turns off with the ignition.
