So I've had numerous saves both highway and city however this one was one of the best to date in all of my years with RD's. Driving back from a work event on the highway, feeling very tired and wanting to get home quick I averaged at least 170 km/h the whole way home (regularly a 3 hour drive, 2 with V1). Maintaining my average speed I was woken up to a Ka band alert from V1. It was fairly sporadic (three dots initially, back down to 1 and then nothing), which lead me to suspect instant on. Sure enough the alert came back 3 or 4 times in higher sensitivity. I pull over a hill about 2 km after the initial alert and traveling in the opposite direction is a LEO running ka instant on. Thanks once again to V1, I managed to easily slow down to the PSL (which was 110 km/h) and avoid a massive ticket, along with a possible license suspension. 60 km/h on the highway would have been devastating!
Thanks again V1. Next is Laser Interceptor!
