The V1 should be fine, but becarefull as they are illegal in France.

Best place to mount it is as high up the windscreen as poss.

If not the V1 try the Bel 550 Euro

It seems a lot of folks not located in NAmerica are forced to buy used detectors on eBay.

might be an option to ask a member of the board who lives in the US if you could send them the money and buy it and ship it to you.

I ordered mine for Valentine and had it delievered to a hotel I stayed in Boston.

Ca peut etre un peu plus facile d'acheter un Beltronics STi quand ils entrent sur la marche (1-2 mois?), pas problemes avec l'expedition et pas problemes avec Spectre!

The Bel 550 or the 330

My choice would be the 550
I have had one and only upgraded to the V1 because
I'd always wanted a V1 and I had the chance to get one.

The Bel 550 is a excellent detector.
and you can pick them up from ebay for £100-150
