    Default V1 & 9500CI v. Quick trigger...

To give you an idea on how this story is going, I don't know what band was being shot, other than it was Ka.

It appears I have jinxed myself, for the longest time I've only had to deal with constant on 34.7. Since the temps dropped it has been non stop quick trigger, rear laser, rear forward facing radar, lethal tactics.

Today I had two encounters where the 3.813 smoked the CI. As I mentioned above the quick trigger encounter, and a K band over the hill speed sign later on.

I recently turned Ka guard off on my V1, and am seeing the advantages already. That being said unless I'm driving over 70MPH the V1 stays on mute. So if it's all you got, that might not be a good option because they do false more.

However, the minimum falsing is more than worth it's performance against quick trigger. I think it's time to get the V1 sent in for her yearly tune up, as the LEOs are upping there game.

^ It's a real war out there I'm tellin ya.

It's naive to think that LEOs will not revert to using ANY advantage at their disposal to nail a "high quality" target.

Granted, some don't put too much thought into running their radar. Others though, are becoming highly motivated to write quality citations to please the brass that need to make up budget short falls.

I saw one memo that was sent down from a Major in the MSP urging more "quality citations" be written. Quality being higher fines for speeders caught well over the limit.

Here is another article offering more $$$ to troopers for writing more violations.

Massachusetts State Police Offer Cops Money for Tickets

They are not dumb. They are investing in better radars, using more slick tops and unmarked cars and adapting their tactics to catch the big fish.

So you have a radar detector that can pick them up from 10 miles away. How about picking up a .2 second burst of I/O ?

So ka band guard off does seam to increase range and quickness with I/O and Quick Trigger with ka band. Maybe Ill try to give it a shot once more. What about pop on and ka Gurad off how does that work.
