Default Double Checking my Understanding of Option A (Down)

    If I use Option A.

Does that mean I'll get mute level on all the "Bee-Bop" tones from the bogey counter changing?

I mentioned a while back when I tested a V1 many years ago, that I was at traffic light and bogey counter was all over the place. And I'd hit mute and when bogey counter changed it would unmute again. Over and over. Is this the option to fix that or do I need to use Option 8 for that.

I generally want it quiet after the first alert as much as possible.

    (8) Makes mute volume completely quiet but one disadvantage is that the quickest way to bring back a muted alert is to simply turn up the muted volume.

    (A) Disables the bogy lock tone.
(and I know you don't know this as there are several things left out of the manual)
Double tapping the mute button disables the lock tone during an alert.

Oh, my I will get this right!

This is the best way to go about it. It doesn't disable the lock tone, it just plays them at the muted volume.

Before using a V1 I had a few times that I would mute an alert and run right into an additional real LEO.

Wrong setting my bad, 8 is bogy lock tone, (A) makes mute volume compleatly quiet but one disadvantage is that the quickest way to bring back a muted alert is to simply turn up the muted volume.
Interesting, so if you mute an alert but want to prevent it from re-alerting (lock tone) double tap the mute button. And if you want full alerting to come back just adjust the volume.

Yes, bring up muted volume, that's another reason many of us are starting to use max K automuting as if you can simply adjust K volume with the muted lever.

Bogy lock tone yes, automuting depends on setting, if you are referring to max K automuting then no unless you have muted volume turned up any range.

That's the beauty of V1 automuting, I do not want to hear a K alert unless I say so.

X band works the same way in a logic mode by default but the threshold is fixed.
