Default v1 brand new and defective...

i just bought a v1 few months ago..i tried the k band automute..i did it the way it is said to be done in one of the forums but it still not work..i am getting k band alert in 1 bar and in couple of seconds rather than in 30 seconds...i have tried both l and L modes..same thing,,even when i change it to mute until 6 lights, it still doesnt mute and starts beeping in 1 light...

is there something i am not doing??or doing it wrong???

it sounds like you didn't enable 7 (make sure arrow is down)

I am curious to know this one as well. My 10 second mute is working, along with my rear K band mute, but occasionally I will get an alert of 1 k or x led and it will die off when running in little l. I thought little l muted x until it crossed a threshold?

Also make make sure your bCd values are right (mine are U U D for 7 sec I think...).

I'm not sure what version was new a few months ago, but what version is your V1? (ex.: 3.873)

OP(Abhinav_7333), print out the reference sheet, linked to in my signature, and keep one in your car. V-1 settings are not intuitive or easy to remember

With X-band, I have found that priority is given to 10.525 (SpecMode with my 9500i). I routinely pass a very low X-band signal that unmutes at 2-3 in either logic modes. I can see the 'logic' of it - - REALLY! - - still a tad annoying

When you say 'muted' I assume you mean only the audio alert. In 'little L' all alerts are displayed.

Check your Volumes. If the Volume Lever is up too high the muting affect is minimized

i've noticed stuff is not ALWAYS muted either

    i run 30second k band mute, >4 alert, and above 6 alert

i always run little l............sometimes if it ramps up perfectly, it'll bypass the mute and go full volume

perhaps valentine allowed the computer to decide if it thinks it's a real threat, to allow no muting?

this happens very rarely, but has happened twice to me in the same spot
