Heading back home yesterday, I disabled K-band (for freeway) and made my journey.
The sun was setting down, it wasn't dark but wasn't light either.
Anyways, I'm checking out other vehicles, my mirrors, the V1, speed and repeat as I always do.
I notice I have a "trailer" in a Honda Civic, I guess he liked the speed I was traveling in, so I he just kept a bit of distance and sat there for a while.
All of the sudden, the famous Ka sound of the V1 comes up, 1 bogey, front, it's getting stronger, I don't see anything near the shoulder so I'm thinking, he's going the opposite direction, sure enough, he was.
10 seconds later, ANOTHER Ka!!!! 1 bogey, front again! I'm thinking, wow, this is like Ka hornet's nest.
I slow down, while Mr. HOnda Civic can't figure out what's the reason I slowed down....so he passes me on the right.
About that time I notice the bogey, man this guy is good. Fully white, slick-top Crown Vic, all lights were off, car pointed at about 30 degrees to the freeway running I/O rear Stalker 34.7GHz.
We both pass him, I look and look and look in the mirror........he turns on his headlights and gets on it! I'm like....ehhhhh....what are you doing now......he didn't pursue me ofcourse since I passed him at PSL, not sure if he snagged the Civic or someone else, but he would have just told them to take the exit and pull them over at nearby gas station. (Officer safety)
I must admit, this guy is good. Not only he was hard to spot during that time of day, but his car looked like some deserted car on the shoulder. Real sneaky....but can't fool the V1.
I sniffed this guy from about 3/4 mile.
