    Default v1 review / v1 vs 9500ix from a long time escort user!

    so i decided to drop the 400 and try the v1 a shot. as some of you may know, ive been using a 9500ix since their release, and decided to compare. i took a drive the other weekend around illinois with my ix and v1 both running...

    my journey was a total of about 5 hours of driving time combined so i had a bit of time to test.

    from my tests, i found the v1 to be more responsive on the straight highway in all 4 encounters at night. in town, i encountered 2 ka band alerts, one straight away, one on a curvey road. they were about the same on the straight, but the ix was about 2 seconds on the curve. the curve was an off axis to the right and was 35.5 ka, which everyone knows the v1 struggles with...

    as for the K band encounters, i have noticed that the v1 found 2-3 more alerts than the ix did, which i give that to the ix filtering the others out. i did have another case of the ix locking out a k-band cop, which ticked me off...

    x-band was the same on both devices, and was false alerts so im not too worried about that..


    i did run into something interesting..... i went through some construction zones... i ran into some k-band SWS alerts ( i know sws because my friends cobra picked the up as sws)... the ix was entirely silent.... no sws alert.... i disabled sws, ran the route again, and still nothing. the v1 alerted to the sws a few miles back both times ... not a cop radar, but id rather have that then no alert at all.


    as for laser, i ran the ix separately from my zr4. running it beside my v1, i got a few false alerts with ,my v1 (from the tail lights of a few suvs) the ix was entirely quite....


    thats my review.... so im glad that i sold my ix and kepy the v1...

    I love my V1. Although I really like my 9500ix when it comes to raw detection, I would trust my 3.812 V1 over my 9500ix. The features and Spec mode of the ix are the reason I still run it with my V1.

    I'm running it in little logic with the 6/4 x/k band muting on.
