Is there anyway to run a CD and have it not black out (turn off) the front lights of the v1?

it might take some serious modding if it's even possible. It would contradict the main purpose of the CD

If I was running video, I could position my camera so that it would be able to display the v1 mounted high (like sethys setup), and show the arrows/signal. I have a CD primarily for night driving and muting, which wouldn't show up in a video.

Couldn't you just unplug the CD?

I wonder; if you put a jack splitter in, and ran two CDs would it work? Then you could have one near the camera, and one in your regular location.

This will physically work, not sure if it has any unforeseen consequences though.

Or just run a remote mute off a splitter and then unplug the remote display, that might work.
