Hey all, I tried doing a search and came across some people on both sides of the fence. I was just curious if there is any new information or a general consensus on whether or not using the CD+remote audio induces any sort of notification lag?

I'll hear the V1 brap a barely perceptible instant before the concealed display lights up.
Looking at the V1 serial protocol (a document Jimbonzzz sent me), it looks like the complete data packet from the V1 to the CD takes about 50ms (50 milliseconds, or .05 second) to transmit. That's faster than the blink of an eye. I suppose the worst-case scenario (alert beginning right after the packet starts being sent) would lead to a 100ms lag, or 1/10th of a second.
Remote audio should have NO lag, as the audio is transmitted in analog form directly from the V1.
