Default Any lag using remote set ups?

Hey all, I tried doing a search and came across some people on both sides of the fence. I was just curious if there is any new information or a general consensus on whether or not using the CD+remote audio induces any sort of notification lag?

I haven't really noticed lag with the CD, not sure about the remote audio since I dont use one. Whenever my v1 chirps at me i instantly look at the display and it always shows me direction/signal strength.

I'll hear the V1 brap a barely perceptible instant before the concealed display lights up.

Looking at the V1 serial protocol (a document Jimbonzzz sent me), it looks like the complete data packet from the V1 to the CD takes about 50ms (50 milliseconds, or .05 second) to transmit. That's faster than the blink of an eye. I suppose the worst-case scenario (alert beginning right after the packet starts being sent) would lead to a 100ms lag, or 1/10th of a second.

Remote audio should have NO lag, as the audio is transmitted in analog form directly from the V1.

Not at all. The V1 sends out an update packet 20 times every second, so worst case the lag will be 50 milliseconds - virtually impossible for a human to notice. And the remote audio is basically just an extension speaker, so there can be no lag at all on the audio.

Well, we're probably two out of very few people outside of VR who actually know that information, or even care to know it.
