Just received my V1

After been lurking around in the forum I decided to get my V1. I've been an Escort user for many years, and after testing my V1 today, all I can say is WAO. I dont know how could I live without the arrows. They work great and the sensitivity is also great. My recent acquisition, a 9500i did not seem to have a good sensitivity and compared to the V1, I realized I was missing a lot. I have it mounted in the same location I had my 9500i and the difference is a whole world in between.
Now I have a question for V1 experience guys, what does option 5 in the setting does? It says to make Ka band more responsive, what does it really means?

It makes the ramp up on the v1 like the ramp up on your escort. (leave it as it is)

I have read here in the forum that switching off Ka guard off along with POP off will drive anybody insane. Is it that bad to used those settings?

It will drive you nuts with ka guard off off period. I have ka guard off because it helps with my local PD but I wouldn't recommend it for somebody new. Leave POP on but if you have too many falses try it off.

I was just wondering because somewhere in the forum I read that Ka 34.7 was the hardest to detect and that's about the only band LEO's used here in PR. They don't have LIDAR, POP, K, just the single Ka. Would it help detect them better with guard off?

35.5 is the tough one. Try it off, but don't worry if you have to leave it on.

Option 6 is KA guard, OFF , Thats how I run mine.
