Default Valentine One vs. Beltronics v940

I currently have a Beltronics v940 and I have gotten 2 tickets with it. I am looking to buy something better and I know that the V1 is better but how much better is the V1 than the Beltronics?

    How is it against laser?

I would say about at least 2 times as good in raw detection if not more. for laser don't even worry you need a jammer if you want any protection against it.

they very in prices but the good ones range from the mid $400s and up.

For legality, that really depends on what state/country you are in and how you use the system. We have tons of people that have them in illegal areas and as long and they use the system properly they don't have problems.

But the legality of a jammer is a non factor in the purchase and use of a jammer anyway so forget legality.

A 940 makes a great backup to a V1. I have one and use it when I travel or venture to less desirable parts of the city(i've had my car broken into before).

In all honesty, its a decent detector and gives enough warning to slow down but your comparing apples to oranges.

The V1 will considerable improvement over the 9xx series.

The V1 is better than the 940 on all radar bands. Not only is detection range on the V1 better, but also you get more awareness of what is going on around you because of the V1's arrows. Forget about laser detection. A RD will not save you from police laser. Time to read up on laser jammers:
