Initial Impressions

Love the situational awareness... but TONS of falses.

At first, I drove out of the building (usually this is crazy because I am ambushed by falses) and at this point the 9500i doesn't have a sat lock yet, so its usually going nuts. However, the V1 was quiet... I liked it, but then it got loud after sitting there for 30 seconds (little l mode with 30 second delay). Okay, muted it... not bad. Then I drove for a while, had some falses jump around, it was cool to watch as I drove past them. The bogey tone was cool too. Like it. It was all muted (half volume) but I was aware. Then I am in the middle of nowhere and it goes full volume but beeps slow... I was confused. I guess it picked up a cobra or something and it was 4 at first but immediately dropped to 1. Could have been a distant police radar too I suppose. Then I got a laser false?! What the hell... I am in a residential area, no one was using cruise, only brake lights were a 1980s civic. There was however bright xenon headlights angled funny from a car pulling out... or maybe it was the parking sensor? Then I drive home and try it out at full volume in A mode with radio blaring. I could kind of hear it... its not as loud as the 9500i but the sounds are more distinct... which is probably better in the long run. Then I got another laser false...WTF?!?! I know its sensitive but damn... there was no laser, or cruise control... I didn't see any LED taillights either.

I like it... I really do, but do you guys normally get 2 laser falses on a 20 minute drive?

Also, I need to mute rear K I think. It kept getting really excited about falses when I would turn on to a road with K band source behind me.

My install... went with this guy's idea. Took me 20 minutes... wish I had thought of this 2 years ago with the escort.

I get between one or two. Don't forget to check for Infinitis. They throw laser falses as well.

there are tons of things that can give you laser falses, neon building signs, brake lights (led and florescent), cruise control, led bill boards.

Yes. The FX35 is equipped with a LCC (Laser Cruise Control).
