will it scan faster if i turn off ka band in euro mode
i was thinking the euro mode will allow you to run k and ka or just ka....
if i were to run the k and ka euro mode and turn off ka alerts in the reprograming would it scan k band faster!
or doesnt reprograming and turning off bands affect the scan rate!
Hard to say. Depending on the design, turning off bands only disables the reporting of alerts on those bands and does not change the sweep. In euro mode, V1 only sweeps a small part of the Ka band anyway, so even if the sweep did change if you turned off Ka in euro mode, I woudn't expect a perceptible gain in performance, though it -might- increase slightly.
No matter what the design, it is a good rule of thumb not to risk decreasing performance by leaving bands on that you do not need. So if Ka isn't a threat for you, then turn it off.

your opinion is what i thought...
i think its all down to if switching off bands actualy swtiches off the sweep, instead of just the alert!
From my experience, the 'U' mode euro scans the K band, detection of K band is approximately the same as a X50.
The KA is selective of the photoradar frequencies and seems to scan and pick up quicker.
not supprising as it scans just the narrow range!
