I didn't think there is any way but thought to ask anyhow.
i don't want to cancel K just mute it.
for 2 real alerts in 3 years with K. it's just bothering more then help.
i already maximized the time and number of LEDs on little L. and leaving it on L all the time. but would like to know if i can turn that off completely (sound only)

    He doesn't want too.

Turn the muted volume lever all the way down.

    ok mis-read that.

May want to try option 8 off. It make life much quieter, but also mutes the new bogey alert, so it's a risky trade off.

I've been complaining about this for years.
AFAIC it's the worst thing about the V1. VR really needs to add a K mute with no time limit; just alert me when it reaches a certain strength threshold.(4 or 6 led's, user's choice)

Traffic lights take several minutes sometimes and I don't want to reach up and hit mute for a weak drug store alert after 30 seconds. LET'S GO VR, YOU KNOW THIS IS NEEDED IN 2010. K Band is becoming mostly a nuisance alert, like X Band, anymore here in Florida .

I agree. It's needed as well as X band muting similar to K band muting. Those are the only things I'd really change with the V1.

yes that will be nice. complete mute with only visible alert.
the ratio of real alerts Vs false make it totally unusable.
i find myself ignores it anyhow and automatically press mute.
its probably 2 real Vs few thousands of false alerts.

It's possible to mute K band completely with LED's only but you are limited to a 30-sec time period, unless you premute before the 30 is up.

yes i already did that. but i'm looking for no time limit. just to stop those endless k false . i may just cancel K all together. it's not really helping the way it is today.
