It seems to me that this small plastic post is helping my laser caption , can some people test it and give your findings .

I tested it with tv remote and the optical signal is well transmited .

    What is that post from?

If it helps in gathering the signal, you must have the most sensitive laser detector in the world 8)

it is a post that we use for hooking our jewelry on the racks . I bent it and just stick it with hot glue. It is made of acrylic and according to flitservice it is a very good conductor of infrared in the spectrum concerned.

You can have one for $ 99.99 , postage included  in uscy please. But for you it is free.

And since the rear detector is used , it is safe to try.

Why do you have it over the radar horn and not the laser sensor?

I thought the black lens was for radar and the red spot below "Laser" and to the left of the Ka and K LEDs was the rear laser sensor?

The post is passing in front of the horn , which does not affect the rf waves . The end of the post is placed directly over the laser sensor , so the infrared beam is entering the top of the post and directing the optical signal .Try any clear plastic , put a light at one edge and observes at the other edge : light...

Guys I'm pretty sure that is a V1 version 1.7, those had the laser sensor underneath the rear horn antenna:
