V1 "J" real Ka alerts

got 2 "j" alert on a real Ka in diffrent places,it happened to me yesterday and this past saturday. but the peculiar thing is that both "j" alert were given when both police cruisers where at the end of a curve,

hey great observation. i recieved my first "j" alert on real ka a couple days ago and the leo was also up ahead of me around a curve (at the end of the bend as you describe). I knew the area was a hotspot for leo so i took off my v1 and turned it back on and it began to brap again alerting ka and didn't j out this time. It was quite disturbing as that can definately get you nailed!

I still don't understand why V1 does not dump the J alert feature. Too many times it falses real alerts.

The "J" feature only cancels out real KA band guns when the radar source is very near the detector. The V-1 will not "J" out a weak KA band signal if it coming from a cop. The reason for this is because the signal is so strong when the radar gun is close to the detector that the software in the detector gets overpowered and J's out. I actually like the J filter because I never get KA falses on my detector. My old Bel would always false on KA, where the V1 cancels them out.

I have only had my V1 junk out one real threat. It was a K9 ISP trooper. But I have to admit I could tell the difference. When I get a J it is a few beeps and then J. This time the counter went to half way there or more and I saw him. when I was on top of the anus....it J it out.
