    Default Calling a V1 zombies

ok i have an 8500 x50 right now... sometime tonight it will become a v1 (trading it) the problem is that the v1 does not come with the valentine cord. i would be keeping my escort cord. As i have never had a V1 will i still get full use out of my v1if i use the escort cord. I know that i cannot get into programing mode but i am not to worried about that. If i do like the v1 i would be ordering the v1 cord. also can i replace the suction cups on the mount or do i need to order a new mount?

You dont need to buy a new mount. The cord and suction cups are on the V1 website. Correct, you can't mute or change the programming without the V1 power cord

and for the suction cups can i buy those at a hobby store like i did for my x50 i just dont think the ones on there will stick. My windsheild is tinted all the way down and unless they are like new it wont work lol

How old is the V1 you'd be getting and are you sure its not stolen since its not coming with the cord? If its from someone you know and trust then o.k. but if its a stranger, you may want to check into its history by calling VR.

If its been reported as stolen and you send it in for service, don't expect to see the V1 back. I don't believe that the serial# checker will report stolen ones

All you have to do is send them an e-mail with the serial number and ask if it has been reported as stolen.....they usually reply pretty quick(couple hours/same day)

I can mute and change programming using my aftermarket RJ11 "straight" wired phone cord. Just make sure the colored wires are reversed when looking at both ends side by side. The wires need to run straight through. They're typically used for data connections, NOT voice.

The RJ11 cord attached to your phone won't work.
