Valentine 1 Vs. Bel Rx65

Which should I buy? They are both said to be the best. I've gotten three tickets and cannot afford to drive without a radar detector.

Buy them both

Try them out and then return the one you don't like. Or just keep both of them.

If your state uses laser then the V1 is the best choice.
Most owners of the RX65 says laser detection is not to good with that unit.

i might add that if your state does use laser crazy is correct look into a laser jammer and also a v1 because its the only detector that will properly work (from all the videos i've seen and all the tests for detectors and everything i've read) to help you with your jammer, as it will give you your greatest chances to know if your jammer successfully goes off in time and how long you are being targetted for (depending on the jammer you have i guess this is very important). also u can catch scatter which can always help.

Laser detection doesn't mean $hit to me and thats because if you want real laser protection you need a jammer. I think having a good laser detector is useless unless you have a black car, with a small and rounded front end, pop up headlights, no front end shiny surfaces, and no front license plate. You need a jammer for laser protection, so I wouldn't consider laser detection when purchasing a radar detector. A good laser detector will just let you know your getting a ticket. Stealth, I think you are a little off on what you say about laser! A good detector willl catch the reflections up ahead if the cop is shooting someone in front of you. Just like instant on. I have been saved a few times just because the cop lasered a car up ahead and not me. Having a great laser detector does have benifits. Agreed laser is much more pinpoint than regular radar.
