Why not? It falses to everything else!
But during normal cellphone usage (not with the phone waved in from of the v1) are their any issues?
I just ordered my V1 yesterday and my heart sank a little bit when I read your topic because I had issues many moons ago with a Blackberry 8700 and my Escort Passport 8700 (non-x50)
I've owned my IPhone for 2months now and have no problem with my V1 when using the phone (handsfree).
I have an Iphone 3GS also and I am on it or talking on it a lot in the car and have never had a false laser alert. I will try to wave it infront of the V1 today and see what happens.
Any LCD screen will make the V1 alert to laser.
^What I was thinking too, it's the LCD screen that's causing the laser alert.
Stop talking on the phone while driving j/k. I've got a 2g iphone, no issues with it alerting to laser. Only the toll booth lights when I slowly go through.
Falsing? It's interesting to me because in the manual for the v1, the thought process is to give you all the info, and let you decide, depending on how you have the v1 setup.
Right now for me personally, I have ka guard off, and it picks up other radar detectors in the area. Are they falses, sure, but I'm learning how to decypher whats real and what's a false or non threatening alert. Guess it's all how you look at it, and what your after from a detector.
