New laser false?

Just got my V1 back from service, KA band in the rear when the unit was cold. It is all fixed and I was driving home when i got a laser warning from the rear. Kept on for over a mile until the Volvo SUV behind me passed me, then it went away. Do the new volvo's have a laser system up front? I saw some stuff under the rear view mirror. Man was it annoying! lol.

im pretty sure they have laser parking systems, but i dont know if they stay on all of the time?

Volvos now come with adaptive cruise control. PITA!

tell me about it!! but on the plus side, my V1 no longer has a Ka false when it is cold starting up!! it was gone a week and man did i miss it!! lol.

Volvos also have the new system that stops the vehicle for you in city driving should it detect a crash is imminent. This could also be laser assisted.

Not to mention scary and potentially dangerous for someone who is a good driver...

Falses from cars, etc. can only be on X and K, not Ka per FCC regulations.

As dangerous as ABS / traction / stability control?!

I remember a documentary (IIRC from Discovery), on racing / F1, asking a race driver about traction / stability control. His reply was very interesting. He said for one bend, I can do better with ESC off. For a whole race, it better be on.

Simply put it, the risk of a human making a mistake is far higher than a computer.

Tell that to all the Toyota owners now afraid to drive their own cars. Many in the industry believe the cause of this acceleration problem will ultimately come back to be something in the computer system.
