Default V1 came in today, and now I am thinking how I ever lived without it.

So my Cheetah C50 came in and so did my V1. What a great effing day. Well I hooked them both up and set the V1 to big L. And well my first radar was a cobra...HA. then it was a 8500 x50, and well that was ...eh alright. and everytime it went off i would just slow down. But now that i have arrows......its a whole other story. I am already hooked, every time i get locked on i get to see where its coming from and look, and i am starting to think how the hell i ever lived without arrows....i mean honestly it should be a necessary item on detectors, well needles to say I am in love, and i cant wait to hard-wire it. and i know people say it has false alarms, and im not gonna lie it does, but not to an annoying extent IMO, and well once you get the feel for the RD you can distinguish whats false and whats not. but i love my new v1 and its partner the cheetah c50!

The arrows/rear antenna is magical no doubt. I like my V1 just a little bit(barely) better than my Redline for that very reason.

Enjoy the V1 it is a good RD, the reason I like mine the most is not because of the arrows it's the fact that I am positive that if I get hit by radar it's going to detect it every time. With my Belscorts it's always in the back of my mind that I could miss a Q/T shot.

Set your cheetah to mute the V1 below a certain speed. If i ran one, I'd have it at around 45mph or 50mph.

This way, annoyances around town will always be eliminated until you reach real cruising (and ticketable) speeds.

Granted, if you drive down roads with 25MPH speed limits, this could cause you some problems. But here, the lowest PSL i ever see is around 35MPH. So setting at 44 mph gives you just the leeway you need before entering potential ticket zone.

Note: I don't currently run a cheetah, but i will be getting the escort SCxx (cant remember number? 55?) that interfaces with the V1 and essentially does the same thing

I wish he could. But, because he got the Cheetah C50 instead of the C100 or mirror, and does not have the Cheetah radar interface, he cannot use the Cheetah to mute the V1.

I also would not get the SC55 because crazyVOLVOrob says:

C100 is built with the best GPS chip available and SC55 uses an inferior GPS chip.
C100 has more options and more connectivity
    C100 has lifetime updates
C100 is over built with better components and Escort built it with inferior electronics
