So I have yet to purchase a V1 but I would like to think about what the next generation of V1's will offer.

I am hopeful there will be enhancements to POP detection and filtering. I want a detector that gives me at the very minimum 1/2 mile warning from impending POP with few falses and reporting 10/10ths of the time.

As one of the other posts suggested, there could be some ergonomic upgrades to the design and display.

Some of you guys commented on laser falsing, so I guess they could work on that too.

If they enhanced POP range/filtering and laser range/filtering as well as some subtle upgrades to the design/display I think you would have a winner for the next 5 years to come; hopefully at least.

The K band POP 16 ms, was more my concern, since if I were an LEO that would be my choice of weapon, whatever gun that might be.

Don't forget about Spector imunity. Plus how the V1 stacks up against the STi driver is anybody's guess. The FCC numbers are impressive.

With the VR's generous upgrade policy you'd be fine to buy now and if an upgrade comes anytime soon, it'll be yours for reasonable price.
