Default I'm gonna keep my V1

When I first got my V1, I thought tha I had made a mistake.... very sensitive and noisy, but I had wanted one for so many years, that I knew that I had to give it a shot. It has now been a few days, and I have figures out how to configure the settings. I gotta say... I love this thing. I feel very confident driving with it. The level of awareness, and knowing that if there is radar, it find it, is very comforting. I do however plan on buying another 9500i, just because I like it, and want one for my arsenal. While I wouldn't call myself a zombie, I do love the Valentine. I just also realize that other detectors have their place too.

If you want the GPS functionality I would go get yourself a Cheetah product and interface it to your Valentine. I really don't think the 9500i(x) is worth the additional cost, the V1 smokes it on all Radar bands so why bother?

Get a v1 and 9500ci. Problem solved. It's not hard to find a 9500ci for around 800 if you know where to look. If you don't, RadarBusters gives a nice discount if you call them and tell them your from the forumn.

This will change. When you have your "V1 moment", you'll ask yourself how you ever lived without the V1 or its arrows. I'll be waiting for your PM for a V1 zombie invite

Well... that would be great..... but coming up with $800 hundred extra just laying around is gonna be a problem

Welcome to the light, they both have their strengths and weaknesses. Just some prefer one or the other..

I think it is a bad case of gas that will have to work itself out

Seriously, for you I am glad you are happy with your choice.

Get ready for the Belscort with Arrows though.

Imagine the Redline with forward and rearward facing horns with a set of multicolored arrows.

as long as WE are being imaginative

    imagine all that for $39.99

    too.

as warm and fuzzy as group postulating might be
let's put all the bloviating blathering aside, and realize
there will NEVER be a dashmount Belscort with arrows

I seriously doubt that there won't be a Belscort dashmount with directional capabilities very soon after VR's patent expires. In fact, since it appears the VR's patent expires next year, I would guess that the Belscort engineers are already working on it.
