Thread: Worth the $400?

  1. #1

    Default Worth the $400?

Is the V1 worth the $400? Does it work well?

I have a Whistler SRT35 and I'm thinking about dropping it and getting a V1 or another 200-400 detector...

I've tried the rx-65, x50, and finally ended up trying the V1. Its the only thing I'll ever use the rest of my driving days!

Most will find it to be worth far more than $400, but decide for yourself. Take Mikey's 30 day risk-free test drive!

It's absolutely worth it. The fact that it doesn't cost another $300+ every time I need to upgrade is worth it for me. For example, my upgrade to POP was $75. If I had bought an original Passport 8500 I would have needed a whole new unit for $300. (Not to mention I may have ended up turning it off due to falsing).

Oh, yeah. And it's pretty good at that whole radar/laser detection thing, too.

    its worth it.

what gives it away are the arrows, some people say, me included, that they are useless.... it proved me wrong

i cant give a very good explanation on how they are usefull.... but just try it and you will find out.

yeah the updates are nice as well, bought a 3.824..... got a free upgrade to 3.825 and will get a free upgrade to 3.826.

these updates seem to be non existent with any other detectors.

For me it is worth the $400.00 USD which was almost $500.00 CDN.

When one considers the cost of just one ticket, subsequent point assessments and insurance surcharges that last for several years which can run into the thousands of dollars, a $400 investment into a detector that will last many years and provide many warnings is a small price to pay.

If laser is a concern in your area, I would also recommend incorporating Veil into your defense. The V1's superb laser sensitivity is a natural for Veil's protection.

Good luck with whatever you choose.
