    Default Turning off X ...Ka

Does disabling X Band on my v1 make scanning other freq (k, ka) faster? or does it pretty much do nothing but not display x. Also, what is the differance between feature #5 on how to reprogram your v1. Its about the Ka signal meter or something. Whats it mean when its "more responsive" or "normal" ?

Depends on the detector. Some detectors don't change their sweep when disabling or enabling bands, and only disable reporting of alerts on bands you turn off. Others do change the sweep.

I know the V1 has a synthesized sweep since Euro mode, so it has the capability to change the sweep with X-Band turned off, whether it does or not I don't know. I DO know that before Euro mode, turning off bands only disabled the reporting of the alerts and did not change the sweep.

However, X-Band is only 50 MHz wide. Compare that to the 2.6 GHz wide Ka band. Even if a detector does change the sweep when you turn off X-Band, it isnt likely to gain you anything.

Disabling X band will do nothing for the other bands that I know of

The other question is in normal mode when you encounter a KA the beeping ramps up slowly to full alert.

When you have it more responsive, it will ramp up much quicker.

So say you encounter a KA signal---under normal it would register 1-2 dots ect....

with more responsive the same encounter would start you out at like 4-5 dots. Just makes you react quicker I guess?
