I was driving back from Lafayette today and instead of taking I-10 I decided to use US 90.
Started picking up KA 34.7 on the STi-R and then about 5 or 6 seconds later the V1 started sounding off with a front arrow. I had been running about 12 over and had a good rabbit running out in front of me, so I adjusted my speed accordingly. Rabbit must of had a RD because about ten seconds later he slowed considerably.
Anyway as we continued down the road, a LSP cruiser was spotted running the opposite direction. As he passed the arrows changed from front to back and I and the rabbit began to increase our speed significantly when the V1 threw a front arrow and 2 bogey alert for a quick second and then quit. It went back to 1 bogey my rear arrow still was picking up the LSP cruiser to the rear but fading, along with STi-R then quit. It happened again only this time the front arrow blinked notifying me of the stronger source. I slowed again not sure what was going on as my rabbit continued on....STi-R is quiet! Third shot with V1 and Sti-R both alerted about 2/3 strength but I had already adjusted my speed and as I crested a small rise and curve, sure as $&%! there is a local shooting I/O as people came over the hill.
You guessed it my rabbit was standing on the brakes. Guess his RD was a Cobra. LEO pulled out as I backed off and fell in way behind him as he accelerated and then lit him (rabbit) up! Morgan City got a little richer today.
I swear my legs went numb! It could have been me if it were not for the V1 and the arrows. STi-R would not have been enough this time. Looked at my wife with a big 'ol smile as she shook her head!
I don't know where the V1 has failed around curves and hills for others but today it saved me.
V1 FTW!
