Next version updates/rumors?

Happy Holidays, everyone. I'm a new member of the forum and have been a happy V1 user for 4 or 5 years now. I'm thrilled to have found this site, as the wealth of knowledge on the V1/radar countermeasures and rd tweaks has been great. I've got a v1.8 w/3.825 and experienced my first "j" and false lazer alerts this week, on a long trip from GA to MS. In each case, these alerts were caused by events described on this board.

Now, on to my question. As this board seems privvy to a lot of info from V1 and Mike, himself, are there any rumors of what the next firmware or software upgrade will contain? What about any new models or enhanced featuresets that we can expect from the V1 wizards in the future? Would love to know what the team there is working on.

It's nearly impossible to get reliable information on future products from pretty much any manufacturer. We get some ghost stories from time to time but that's about it. A couple of weeks ago someone posted that something interesting would happen after the first of the year but who knows? Taking that kind of thing seriously is a waste of time IMO.

well so far there is a newer version to what u have already, 3.826 and the story with that so far is better k band range, less j and more ka false. thats what i've "heard" i dont know for sure but im upgrading soon....

well so far there is a newer version to what u have already, 3.826 and the story with that so far is better k band range, less j and more ka false. thats what i've "heard" i dont know for sure but im upgrading soon....

I wish to dispell the "more Ka falsing" theory. I actually am getting less Ka falsing that I use to get coming from a harmonic that was emiting from 2 DTV dishes.

Well if you have the .819 it too has the ghosting, as I found out today. Though it is not as bad as what I had seen and heard on the 3.824/.825s. Today I ran into the same K band mobile sign that my 3.826 showed as a 1 K band hit, the 3.819 showed it as 1 K band hit till roughly .15 before the sign it turned into 2 bogeys (1-K, 1-Ka).

Maybe soon there will be an non-euro 3.820 sometime soon.

I'd forgotten about that. I really didn't mind the multiple bogeys since they were real signals getting reflected (and it was fun to figure out from what), but the multiple bands from the reflections did bug me a bit (often making me wonder if there was a second original source that I hadn't identified). I had started to wonder whether some of the fixed sources (such as drones on the Mass Pike) were really equipped with two different transmitters (ridiculous, right?!??)
