Default disappointed with my V1 purchase

Hi guys, so I finally decided to updrade my Escort 8500 x50 and got a V1 a few weeks ago. I am so disappointed with this purchase that I am thinking about selling this and getting something else instead . First of all my V1 does not even fit into my cigarette lighter of my Subaru Legacy because of the terrible disign of the power cord. So finally after getting an extension wires I connected both the v1 and the 8500 and decided to test them. And man.... I am getting so many false alerts with the v1..... driving with x on is almost impossible it goes off every 3-4 min. The KA and K range is identical. I tested the range on a highway a few times and it is identical. Am I doing something wrong???? Are all of my factory setting would need to be adjusted???? V1 is also missing a huge feature, a mute button on the power cord which I use all the time. The only plus are the arrows. Anyone else had a simular experience

Well I completely disagree with you. I love my V1. You can hardwire it and you won't need the cigarette lighter for it. You can get a concealed display and the mute button will be right there. And finally you can disable X band if they don't use it in FL.

I have run the bel/escort at the same time at the V1. The Bel destroys the range on the V1. One time it didn't even alert to Ka.The KA and K range is identical. Something is wrong. I have both and V1 is more sensitive that the Belscort I tested the range on a highway a few times and it is identical. Am I doing something wrong???? Not unless your trying them at the same time. Are all of my factory setting would need to be adjusted???? V1 is also missing a huge feature, a mute button on the power cord which I use all the time. The only plus are the arrows. Anyone else had a similar experience

Well I can't hardwire it because I change my cars every 3 month and buying a display would cost me another $50 and I am not even sure how that is going to work. And yes you are right about the X bank, I already disabled it. So not it comes to the question of $$, my $100 x50 is identical to a $400 V1 + $50 display so I might as well keep my $450 and buy some tires to burn.

You can use your Escort cord with the V1 FYI... just can't switch modes on it etc.

BTW: You are doing much wrong, as noted in red above.

Its not the V1, its the legacy.

Get a cig power adapter/extension from radio shack and play with the V1's muting capability's. Should help a lot.

^ That. But since you apparently refuse to answer the questions asked of you, don't expect much help here.

You couldn't figure out that you didn't like it within the 30-day trial period? It's not your purchase that you should be disappointed with...

Sounds like your having buyers remorse on your V1 purchase, there's always Cobra RD's. Good luck on your next purchase.
