    Default Trying KA guard off for a while.

    Just turned KA guard off the other day, figured i had enough time running the V1 with it on to be able to tell the difference.

    So far only 1 KA false that wasn't really there, other than that's its been ok. No real encounters though yet.

    I'll be surprised if this doesn't happen with your falses. I get about one Ka false every five miles in normal traffic with Ka guard off.

    LULZ!

    I only run the V1 on the Thruway, and as such... Ka-Guard off works fine there... I get maybe one false from it every 20Miles.

    Alas, I ran my V1 for a couple years before I dared to turn it off... and when I run my V1 in the city... my falses go just as v1user predicted yours would.

    I had it off for a while, and rather enjoyed it and then about id Feb this year everyone al of the sudden started clearing the ESD7000s out of Wally World, they set off the V1 with the Ka guard ON, needless to say after a day of perpetual Ka I decided many false alerts was better than one solid alert all over town.

    Well ill post the videos later but apparently KA guard off has no real benefit other than making more falses. Definitely doesn't really improve all KA encounters.

    But that's only 1 nights encounters (3) the other 3 were really bad falses.

    Ok here it is...

    V1 KA guard performance against 9500ci on 34.7 around the bend:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cITczY3uN5c"]YouTube - 34.7 V1 CI around bend[/ame]

    V1 KA guard false, false false........

    So KA guard gives little to know additional useful sensitivity and ridiculously odd falses. It literally renders the V1 completely erratic more than it already is.

    I'm going to turn KA guard back on.

    Hmm, not according to GOL or Knighthawk:

    I think you should do more testing. IMO one encounter is not enough to make this claim yet.

    So are you going to get rid of the V1 now or are you not done critiquing it yet?
