    Looks to me it may have just fallen off the windshield. I've come back to mine laying on the floorboard, seat, dash, etc., many times. I find it hard to believe that someone deliberately mounted it that way.

    No obvious signs of suction cup use on the windshield. I'm pretty sure this was the user's chosen placement.

    Notice the mount still attached on the bottom keeping it "secure."

    It must have been a gift. Anyone with enough intelligence to buy a V1 should at least know how to mount it. You would think . . .

    You should have broken the window out and saved the detector. Heat is a radar detectors worst enemy.

    The thought of him standing there, with a tear in his eye next to some guy's shattered window with his V1 wrapped in a blanket with a freezer block to bring the patient's temperature down is hilarious. He could have a stethoscope on the V1 to make sure that its detection was up to par.
