Sorry for bringing this to the table. Here is one good reason why I can not stand Escort as a corporate entity. I hate people and corporations that are full of SHIX. Misleading the consumer is a bad idea and what comes around goes around. READ LINK BELOW

    That is so old...

The issue between MikeV and CP is a long story. Rest assured they don't like each other. If you don't talk about V1's CP is relatively unbiased

ESCORT isn't going to say "nah that isn't quite right" if they are named #1.

Anyway I don't feel it merits further discussion...

    This is funny:

There was an advertisement for the cordless Escort Solo not long ago - Escort cited this unit as having "Test Winning Performance!" and their current advertising still refers to it as a "Car and Driver magazine test winner." They don't tell you that the Solo won a test of CORDLESS radar detectors, none of which were particularly good.
Well. The SOLO DID win the test of cordless units. The SOLO IS a cordless unit. Where is the complaint?

    This is SO old.

Don't forget MikeV's frequent citations from magazine tests done in the mid 1990's even today. This stuff is far too back in the past to have any meaning today. The industry is too fast-paced. In 1995 there was no POP. There were no Spectres. Ka was barely used and the Montanabahn was open for business.

I have known about this since the early days. Some newcomer in the GENERAL forum was worried what he had read about the V1 at radartest.com

I just wanted to post this so NEWBIES can get the scope on the issue with Peterson.

The advertisement made the READER believe that the SOLO was the BEST OVERALL detector not JUST the best CORDLESS detector.......misleading the consumer...........that sux!
