This is funny:
There was an advertisement for the cordless Escort Solo not long ago - Escort cited this unit as having "Test Winning Performance!" and their current advertising still refers to it as a "Car and Driver magazine test winner." They don't tell you that the Solo won a test of CORDLESS radar detectors, none of which were particularly good.
Well. The SOLO DID win the test of cordless units. The SOLO IS a cordless unit. Where is the complaint?
This is SO old.
Don't forget MikeV's frequent citations from magazine tests done in the mid 1990's even today. This stuff is far too back in the past to have any meaning today. The industry is too fast-paced. In 1995 there was no POP. There were no Spectres. Ka was barely used and the Montanabahn was open for business.
