Default Where are you buying your V1's from?

I'm def getting the V1, its a matter of saving up for it now. So I wanted to know where have you guys purchased or are purchasing your V1 from? With me, I'm picky about where I buy my electronics, most of the time I prefer purchasing them directly from the retailer. I will probably buy it from their website (ebay is OUT of the question), but I wanted to know if there were any other websites that sold them at a slightly lower price or if other websites that actually have some financing offers.

There is only one place to buy a V1, from Valentine One.

Don't buy from anywhere else. Buy from the manufacturer- Valentine1.com

    Here's why:

    1. The product is authentic. You won't get a piece of cement in the mail.
    2. Your product will have a warranty and it will be registered.
    3. No worries.

Another vote for buying from Valentine.. Buying from an auction site or other you're running a risk of it not working, or it may be stolen.. Plus 9 times of 10 when people buy from ebay or craigslist, and then send it in for a tune up they are spending almost as much a returned, or even a new unit.

Fwiw. When you do order your V1, ask Valentine to see if they have any return units.. You'll save $40.00, and you won't know the difference in new vs returned. Returns have been inspected, tested, and comes with all the accessories and full warranty. This is what I did when I bought my V1 from them. Side by side with a friends "new" V1 neither of us could tell the difference other than he paid more than I did..

    Good Luck.

Bought mine from the drug dealer outside the liquor store. Seemed like a nice guy.

No he actually sold you a Cobra, and told you it was a V1.

(LOL) X2 on the returned units for a few dollar savings or find someone in your area who will show you and test the second hand unit to you and someone who you can trust to buy from but call in the serial no. to make sure it is not stollen. Good luck....

Have you seen the threads here from people who thought they got a "great deal" on a V1 and had to pay ~ $80-150 to fix and update it?

Well, I it could be a good deal if they saved more than they had to pay for the upgrade, and it wasn't flagged by Valentine as not eligible for upgrade.

So, at best, it's a PITA and a needless delay on the road to ownership and at worst they've just bought a unit that Valentine won't upgrade and the buyer is stuck with a unit sporting outdated software (and maybe even hardware).
