Default 3.826 ONLY "BUG" I found so far??

I still have not YET encountered any LEO'S! When you want em they go hiding. My K band issue is no longer an issue when I thought the sensitivity was a little on the little side.

One thing does "bug" me and that is the BOGEY LOCK TONE. You are only supposed to get a BOGEY LOCK TONE when you have MULTIPLE RADARS being detected at the same time. Here is the issue that I have seen so far. I get a K BAND BOGEY and the BOGEY COUNTER SHOWS 1 and front ARROW blinking. Then after the signal is out of range and the V1 is not detecting anything at all and then a NEW signal is detected maybe 10-20 seconds later the BOGEY LOCK TONE will go off?? I have not encountered this before on any of my older V1 units.

Anybody else been aware of this? What about you 3.825 users and 3.826 users?? Pay attention to this? Does not happen all the time.......

Just had a thought though? Maybe the "AUTO" filtering is filtering and the V1 is not displaying anything so when the "REAL" threat is passed through the BOGEY LOCK TONE de deets? (BEEPS)

Maybe it has something to do with my FORUM name ops:

This has happened on both my V1s (a 1.7, and a 1.8 3.813). It's caused by either (a) it's tracking a bogey but not alerting to it (what mode are you in?), or (b) it was tracking a bogey within the past 10 seconds or so and now it picked up a new bogey, in which case it's letting you know it's a new bogey and not the one you were alerted to earlier.

The V1 has to go roughly 10 seconds or so with no bogeys (including suppressed ones) before it'll start alerting without a bogey lock tone.

    Bogey,
What mode are you running? I have been using small L to test each software revision. After I am convinced everything is corrected I normally run Big L. However I still have the K band ghosting with 3.826 and this so far is the only bug I can find.

    I am running Advanced Logic.

I have been aware of the "GHOSTING" issue for the first time today?? A LEO with KA band was driving towards me and another car was in front of the LEO. My V1 starts brapping and then for 2 seconds or so the BOGEY counter goes to 2 and then back to 1. I dont know if you can call this "ghosting" since I think the V1 was also picking up SCATTER?

I only wanted to add the "ghosting" issue above so others might not think they are hitting the "ghosting" issue when it is actually scatter.

The "Ghosting" issue is when you have for instance a K band bogey and then out of the blue you get a SECOND KA bogey?? Is this correct?

I also got my first "J" alert today; actually two times. I was really impressed by this. Both of these alerts where due to "J"erks driving with Cobra's RD I would assume?

Advanced Logic would explain your bogey-lock tone behavior.

As for ghosting, there are two "types" (can't think of a better term). One "type", which has existed as far back as the 1.7 I used to have, causes a 2nd, weak Ka bogey to appear during a strong K or Ka encounter. This ghosting is minor and only occurs when you're near the threat, and is probably caused by input overload. The second "type" only occurred with POP units and was usually on the same band as the original threat. In other words, 1 K signal would show 2 or more K bogeys. I'm guessing it's this second type that they fixed in 3.826.

No I still have the second type of ghosting(2 or more K bogeys with only 1 K source) with 3.826.

I get the "J" all the time for some reason. My new V1 was purchased Dec. 30, 2005 and was put into service on Jan. 04, 2006. So I think that I have the most up to date detector. Wouldn't you agree?

Check your software version by holding in the pwr button while turnig it on and see if you are at 3.826.
