    Question V1 mute button?

hey everyone! I have read about a remote mute button that people stick to the back of their signal lever. How do you do this? How do you make one? I have seen the schematics here: http://www.radardetector.net/forums/...html#post36761 but i am having trouble understanding how to actually make it happen :P. maybe someone can give some great instructions and then hopefully it will get stickied for other wiring noobs like me to understand how to make one. Thanks again!

P.S I do realize this thread is probably a stupid question, but please cut me some slack :P. I just want to make sure im doing it right before i accidentally mess up and break my beloved V1 :P

I did delete it, I just thought you could not show links to things that Radarbusters sold. Sorry.

Will the V1 main display go black if I use a remote mute switch that plugs into the CD port on the cigarette lighter adapter?

Hmm, if a CD is plugged into the CD port it does, and if a mute button is plugged into the remote volume it doesn't.
I guess it will go blank, but its not a good idea to mess with the wrong connections if you don't need too.

What are you trying to do?

    Not if it's wired correctly.
