    Default Upgrade Costs

I'll be getting a new RD later this year and wanted to know what the upgrade costs run for the V1?

Since 1998 I have upgraded 3 times. So I guess you wont need to upgrade on a REGULAR basis unless we see new threats etc.

And from the sounds of it... you probably won't have to upgrade for a while unless some brand new radar or other threat comes out. 3.826 sounds like it fixed most, if not all of the misc tweaks that were needed. I'm very happy I waited for it. I "just" received my brand new V1 today... right now... and am counting the time until I get off of work and can fire this puppy up.

Also VR doesn't charge for the misc tweaks and they are very liberal with their 1 year warranty. I have read where many people have not been charged for repairs when their RD's were well out of warranty.

I am glad that we can finally move on knowing that we have a virtually perfect detector on our hands. Joy and happiness to the v1 Zombification virus, it lives forever! There is no known cure. Only a few have survived it (Sethy & wannabeStealth)

Yes I beleive 3.826 is a pretty solid software so far based on my experience with it so far except for the same band ghosting and that very well may be something that cant be corrected 100%. I do admit the ghosting issue is not as pronounced with 3.826 but it does still exist. Now if I had to give up any performance to totally eliminate ghosting then I would say leave well enough alone. So it is my opinion that 3.826 is pretty much a 100% fixed version.
