I have had my v1 a few years now and was going to send it back for a bit of a tune up. It has 3.851 and I was wondering what everyone thoughts on it where. Is it worth upgrading. I seem to have alot of ghosting and the arrows are really sluggish when passing a radar. Tune, upgrade or both is the question.

You're kind of the same boat I'm in right now. The arrows are so slow along with some minor ghosting mine has been sitting in the kitchen counter for the past few days. There really isn't much talk about 3.851 on here so I can't give you any advice. They say 3.872 (the newest) is pretty good though.

I have a 3.872 and I'm very happy with it. Mine does not ghost, so I think this version has fixed this problem.

Does anyone know how much they charge for a tune up and to install the latest firmware?

I don't own a V1 but from all the post I have read about the different version, getting an upgrade would most certainly not be a bad idea for you.

3.872 is the way to go.

Version 3.851 to 3.872 requires a hardware change..........you'll probably get the entire guts of your RD swapped out.

It's worth it though, 3.872 is the best POP version V1 to date and apparently Mike is finally happy with it.............the version numbers used to tumble several times a year but finally settled on 3.872 and has been there for a while!
