Version 1.7 was the old antenna design with the super flared horns. Version 1.8 (now about a decade old) had a major horn redesign to improve Ka reception.

I think you should stay away from it, save your money, and buy a new V1. You never know what you are getting when you buy a used radar detector.

If you decide to get it make sure you check with VR first to see if it's stolen.
