    Default Fast update?

I sent my V1 for the latest update on 1/7/06 by express mail at 11:40 am with an expected arrival time of 1/9/06 by 3pm. This morning I went to check on my tracking number to see where it might be now and I received this message:
    Status: Enroute

Your item was processed and left our CINCINNATI, OH 45234 facility on January 08, 2006. Information, if available, is updated every evening. Am I reading the word FROM properly and is this even possible? Hope they didnt just ship it back without an update. Any thoughts?

I use USPS everyday! The info you supplied sounds normal, sounds like it left their sort facility and is on the way to Valentine!!

If valentine receives the detector today it won't show up as being delivered until later this evening (theres a slight delay) hope this helps!!

Guess I was confusing sort facility with leaving VR research. I also got a return receipt requested and just now when I went to see who signed for it i got this message:You requested this information prior to the delivery of your item. When your Proof of Delivery record is complete, it will be provided. I do have a tracking on all activity to date and all future activity will be emailed to me. Do I sound anxious?

I'm glad to see your package has arrived at valentine. You may have worried prematurely though. The US Postal service does not have tracking offered as an option. The only class of mail on which the USPS offers tracking is express mail. Priority and first class mail have two services which are "internet" based. These are Delivery Confirmation and Signature Confirmation. Both of which only tell you that an item was shipped and when the item was recieved. Unlike true tracking systems like UPS or fedex, they do not give you the current location of the parcel.
