    Default Speaker In headrest?

hey guys Im new to this forum, i did try to do some research before posting this but i haven't found my answer yet. anyway here goes.

I have a V1 with a concealed display. I also have a very loud sound system, and i have a tendency to drive with loud music. As a result, while driving, i cant hear my V1 when it is trying to alert me. I was thinking about putting a very small speaker into my headrest and simply plugging it in to the headphone jack on the main V1 itself.

While doing my research i realized that Valentine sells another product, the Remote Audio Adapter, this seemed very intriguing, but i don't want to have another module laying around in my car, i would prefer it to be extremely discrete, and also i don't want to use headphones. the reason i would prefer a speaker is because it would be right in the drivers headrest, so only the driver (ME) would hear it mainly and it wouldn't really annoy them as much.

Yes i know driving and lowering my music is an option but its not the route i want to take.

Has anyone done this before? Can anyone assist me? Im looking to do this myself and saving a good chunk of cash.

    Thank You in advanced

    `Kevin Benz.

I bought some tweeters on ebay and gonna try to splice into a headphone jack cable and then into the audio out for the remote audio control so I'll let you know how it goes and if the controller and push some small tweeters to boost the sound. should have an update by this time next week.

Just wait until you're in your 40s and you have constant ringing in one of your ears from listening to loud music. It'll remind you to keep it turned down, it works for me.

Seriously though, Escort has a nice external speaker (Radio Shack sells one which looks identical but costs more), which you can connect to any sound output. Its a powered speaker in a little box, so it has a very nice volume, plus it mounts very easily in a variety of locations.

Remote Audio Adapter is the best and easiest way (small). The V1 doesn't use a conventional speaker and you would need to amplify the power to run another speaker through the headphone jack on the Remote Audio Adapter (like the Escort amplified speaker). But you will still need the Remote Audio Adapter because the V1 has no audio outputs.

Remote Audio Adapter is pretty loud and you can control the volume separately for it. Volume on Remote Audio Adapter and V1 are independent of each other.

Ill make a video of my set up at some point.

I think I need some way of making mine louder too. Maybe I will buy the escort speaker or the remote audio adapter but I dont think I like the fact that it has a 1 second delay?

Ya, not that it matters to me much in the end or really makes much difference, but some may not like it.

Still want to test mine to see how long it is exactly.

Unless I'm mistaken, there is no headphone jack on the V1 itself...that thing that looks like a 3.5mm jack on the left side is actually the speaker. Just warning you before you stick something in there that you'll regret
