There was some wiggle room here, as last fall they were throwing out ALL the LIDAR tickets in court because someone had challenged the science involved.
That didn't last long.
In February, a judge here ruled that "lidar is acceptable."

Now, a few months after all this, the cops are out in FORCE. And it's ALL LIDAR here.
They sit about a quarter mile from a turn at the end of a long straightaway on the local expressways (some of which are purposely UNDER speed limited). Forty-five where everyone is going fifty-five or sixty.
They nail you before you have a chance to see them.
(You know, people used to have more respect for the police here but now, I think, many see them as agents for the city's revenue stream.)
My question is: will the V1 be able to pick up the LIDAR gun before you enter the turn? How far ahead will it be seen?
