V1 not reporting junk

I just got my V1 a little over a month ago and it hasn't reported "j" junk for any false signals. It is on little L mode with x and pop off. I get a lot of falses on the K band but never reports J. I got a false on Ka band and it didn't report it either. Maybe I am just not understanding the concept behind the feature.

Is it a 3.872? My 3.872 never once gave a J. My 3.826 J'd bad, but they seem to have fixed the issue with 3.872.

Whatever the latest is, that's what I have. So is it a bad thing or good thing that it doesn't report "J"

I haven't had mine report a junk signal either. I have gotten "falses" from other radar detector on the highway, but it just showed as a normal Ka alert every time so far. I have the newest version.

It's more likely to throw "J"s when POP is on.

With POP off, many junk signals are filtered without alerting at all. In some cases, it will pick up the Ka before it picks up the LO emissions that indicate a junk signal, and will alert to Ka and then (maybe) junk it out.

K band falses don't get junked out. Most K falses are caused by automatic doors and there's no way for the detector to filter these out.

Alright makes sense. So it only will j out if the alert is false on ka band? Now what is Ka guard for?

I'm not sure. Everything is factory except for x and pop are off

"J" is saying ignore the Ka warning. It will happen when pop is on because 33.8 Ka will alarm fast then afterwards look for another RD's oscillator freq.. If the V1 sees this other freq., then the V1 will say it is junk and ignore the alarm. MPH pop radar is at 33.8. The V1 does this to give a fast warning for pop, 33.8 Ka, then look at the signal afterwards to see if it is another RD or not...
